1. What Garage Dads is

Garage Dads is a free, non-transactional community platform that connects neighbors who need a hand with neighbors willing to give one — mounting a TV, hauling a couch, teaching a skill, finding a workout partner, and the like. No money changes hands for help. The only currency is kudos. We charge no fees and do not process payments.

We are not a marketplace or an employer. Members who help ("Dads") are independent community members — not our employees, agents, contractors, or partners. We do not supervise, direct, vet for hire, or guarantee any member or any help provided. Any interaction between members is arranged directly between them and is undertaken at your own risk.

2. Eligibility & your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
• Provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials safe.
• Accounts are personal and non-transferable. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.

3. Community conduct

Be a good neighbor. You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable law.
• Offer or solicit paid work, money-for-help, scams, weapons, drugs, or sexual services.
• Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or endanger anyone.
• Post false, misleading, defamatory, or infringing content; impersonate others; or create fake profiles.
• Share another member's address or contact details, or otherwise violate their privacy.
• Scrape data without permission, misuse automation, or circumvent Platform safeguards.

You control who comes to your home — accept only crew you are comfortable with. See our safety tips before any in-person meeting.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you post. You grant us a royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and modify that content as needed to operate the Platform and show it to the members allowed to see the relevant task. Everything on the Platform other than your own content is owned by or licensed to us and provided to you under a limited, revocable license for personal use only. Report alleged infringement to the contact below.

5. No payments

Garage Dads is free to use and non-transactional. We do not charge fees, collect payments, or handle money between members. If we ever introduce optional paid features, we will post separate terms and notice before they apply to you.

6. Disclaimers — no warranty

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any help arranged through the Platform, do not verify member identities, and do not guarantee the Platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Garage Dads LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to the Platform or any help arranged through it. Because the Platform is free, our total aggregate liability to you will not exceed USD $100. This limit applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Injuries, damage & disputes

You meet other members at your own risk. Garage Dads is a community directory, not a party to anything members arrange. If another member injures you, damages your property, or causes any other issue, you pursue any claim directly against that person.

• Garage Dads is generally not liable for members' offline conduct, injuries, or property damage.
• For emergencies, contact law enforcement or emergency services first. Then report the issue to us through the report form or moderation tools.
• You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Platform, your interactions with other members, or your violation of these Terms.

9. Moderation, suspension & appeals

Violations may lead to a warning, suspension, or ban. If your account is actioned you will see the reason and may submit one appeal, which a moderator will review. Reporter identities are kept confidential. We may also remove content or terminate access at our discretion. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (liability, intellectual property, indemnification, dispute resolution, governing law) continue to apply.

10. Dispute resolution & governing law

Binding arbitration. Except for claims that may be brought in small-claims court or where prohibited by law, disputes arising out of these Terms or the Platform will be resolved by binding arbitration administered under standard U.S. rules (e.g., the American Arbitration Association).

Class-action waiver. You and we waive any right to participate in a class action or representative proceeding; disputes are resolved individually.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Venue for any non-arbitrable dispute is the state or federal courts located in Aurora, Colorado.

11. Miscellaneous

• Severability: if any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
• No waiver: our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
• Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and policies incorporated by reference, are the entire agreement between you and us.
