Privacy Policy

What we collect and why

• Account data (name, email, neighborhood, skills): to match you with tasks and helpers nearby. Your neighborhood is a plain label (e.g. "Hillside") — we never ask for your street address as part of your profile.
• Task photos: uploaded by you to show a job. Stored until the task is cancelled or you delete your account, and served only to people allowed to see that task — never publicly.
• Session addresses: in-person Garage Sessions need a location. We store it encrypted, reveal it only to crew who RSVP'd "Going," log each time it's viewed, and delete it 30 days after the session.
• Fitness preferences (opt-in only): if you turn on Fitness, we store your activity preferences and availability windows to suggest partners. We never access your precise GPS location. Availability blocks are deleted 7 days after they end.
• IP address: used transiently to rate-limit abuse. Not linked to your profile.
• Google sign-in: if you sign in with Google we receive your email, name, and profile photo. We never receive your password. We store only those fields.

Your rights

You can, at any time from Settings: access and export your data (portability), correct your profile, manage notification consent, and delete your account (erasure). Account deletion removes your personal data and anonymizes your history. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.

Security

Sensitive data (addresses) is encrypted at rest. Traffic is served over HTTPS in production. Access to moderation tools is role-gated and every moderator action is logged.

Children

Garage Dads is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

Third parties

We use Google (sign-in), and load web fonts and styling assets. We do not run advertising trackers. Where required, data-processing agreements are in place with our providers.
